Will this replace a traditional résumé?+
Many employers still need a traditional résumé. CVIndex complements it: your short résumé can link to detailed case studies and your professional story. This is a direction for the format to evolve, not a claim that the entire market has already adopted it.
Is this only for developers and designers?+
It's for every profession. A recruiter might describe a challenging search, a manager a new process, or an engineer a technical solution. What matters is the challenge, your contribution and the outcome. Evidence can take many forms.
Will creating and hosting an index really be free?+
Free creation and hosting of personal indexes is a founding principle of CVIndex. Sign in, fill in your index and publish it: you get a public page and an index.md file at no cost.
What about NDAs and confidential projects?+
Only include what you're allowed to share. Describe the type of challenge, its scale and your approach without client names, exact metrics or internal documents. Don't publish confidential material or other people's personal data without permission.
Will AI write my experience for me?+
Your index should be grounded in real facts and actual work. AI can help structure the text, but shouldn't invent achievements. Markdown makes content easy to read and process; it doesn't guarantee an accurate assessment by any particular model.
